If you can’t access the Community Fridges that we manage and run, there might be other Fridges local to you. Below is a list of other community initiatives that fight food waste across the region.
Billingshurst Community Larder
This larder opens once a week on a Wednesday and is located at School House, Weald School. Check their Facebook page for opening times and details of what food has been collected.
Pulborough Pantry
The Pulborough Pantry is at 22 Rectory Close in Pulborough and opens twice a week. Check their Facebook page for the latest updates. They are open to everyone and also offer a service for those who are in receipt of a food voucher code.
Amberley Eco-Hub
Amberley Eco-Hub offers refill stations and a repair cafe. You can also drop off your food packaging for recycling.
UK Harvest
UK Harvest offer monthly community food hubs across the region including at Storrington, Haywards Heath, Worthing, Brighton and Crawley. Find out more and check the dates of sessions near to you on the UK Harvest website. No referral is needed.
Horsham Matters
Horsham Matters is a foodbank based in Horsham but that also offers the mobile foodbank which operates in various Horsham locations as well as Henfield, Storrington, Southwater and Pulborough for those who cannot get to the main location in Redkiln Way. They also offer low cost or free lunches on certain days.
Check the foodbank schedule and opening times on the Horsham Matters website. You will need a referral code to access food from any foodbank – contact Horsham Matters if you are in need as they may be able to issue you with a voucher code or signpost you to a service that can.
Sussex Green Living
Sussex Green Living is a small charity inspiring people in the local area to live in greater harmony with the natural world. They run the Sussex Green Hub events where you can find a repair cafe, refill station and, when the Hub is in Horsham, our Horsham Community Fridge pop up session.
